The deeper you go with your purpose, the more foundationally solid your platform, and the more people you reach with your powerful message that's meant to create big change in this world.

When you are called to create purposeful, powerful impact, you are meant to follow that call.

I received the call years ago while standing on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Australia. The words came to me clearly, a connection with my calling that guided me onto a path that would change my life forever.Read More

What a joy babies can bring into our lives!

My husband and I were blessed with a sweet baby girl last year and -- woah! -- did things change, and quickly. Our lives transformed with more love and joy, and all the learning that comes with a new addition to the family.

You may notice I took a hiatus from the blog-- with a big reason: to cherish that non-renewable resource we have, time, and enjoy precious love with our little one. Shortly after giving birth, I did continue working very part-time with key clients and authors because I love what I do and it gives me soulful nourishment, too. I have the joy of not only cherishing and nurturing our little one, but also supporting authors, and cultivating words and powerful messages to share with the world... amazing!

I am thrilled to be back on the blog now. I'm as excited as ever to be sharing with you...Read More

Many years ago, I was given a gift. In fact, in my career as a writer, editor and coach, I've been given tremendous gifts and supports along my journey.

Now it's my time to give back.

I remember the sage words of one of my first professional writing mentors, and also a man among the first of my clients, who trusted and supported me in writing for high profile companies like Harley-Davidson, Microsoft and Bayer, and organizations like RBC/RBC Bank.

"I had someone help me when I got started," he said. "And so I know what it's like to get a hand up, and just what that kind of help can do."

I'm celebrating a milestone birthday today (I'll let you guess which one!). Five years ago, I was celebrating another milestone, too (if you guess the first, you'll get the second!)...

And at that milestone birthday, I had a goal. Now here's a very vulnerable moment I'm going to share with you: I had that goal, and I was nowhere near achieving it.

By that milestone birthday, I had wanted to have completed my first book.

I had been writing it for five years (yes, five years!), and still it felt nowhere near done. Worse yet, I was miserable and feeling so deflated. My birthday came and, as birthdays tend to have us become, I got reflective.

I had to reach that goal!

I knew though that the way I was living wasn't going to let me do that. (If you've read my chapters in the Empowering Women to Succeed series, you'll know the whole story.)

So, I made some BIG changes.Read More

I know this time of year I feel the need to cleanse and restore – to clear clutter, spring clean and lighten the load from winter. You too?

Let’s “spring ahead” together. The clocks are moving ahead one hour; to some, that means losing an hour of sleep, to others, it means an extra hour for life—vibrancy, creating and doing what we’re called to do. Spring also signals the time for change; snow melting away, unearthing the beauty that mother nature provides. Trees blossom, flowers bloom, birds return from their vacation south and the grass becomes so much greener.

Spring also signals change in us. We have rituals like spring cleaning, starting to renovate our homes, or just bringing out the BBQ to get ready for the warm weather. What we also need to do is start cleansing the clutter that can cloud our mind, soul and heart.

Want to kickstart this season with a bouncier ‘spring’ in your step (and make space for more creativity, vitality, health and well-being, too)?! Try these three steps to help focus your mind to better your biz and your life!Read More
